Les retrouvailles...

:: God were they looking forward to that moment! Mon Dieu qu'elles avaient hâte à ce moment-là! ::

:: They literally spent the day building houses in the forest/Ils ont littéralement passé la journée à construire des cabanes dans la forêt ::

:: The coltsfoot reminded me of last year, when things were so very different.../Les tussilages m'ont fait pensé à l'année dernière, où les choses étaient tellement différentes... ::

:: Other than the oxygen machine's noise and the additional grey hair on my dear friend's head, things were surprisingly the same. Life was just as it was before. The seedlings by the window, like every spring. The crafts, the projects, the healthy food... Life must go on, she says. I admire her strength, her ability to stay in the present, even with the sadness, and the fleeting hope and the clock that is ticking too fast... ::

:: And everywhere I turn, there is life, such ephemerous and precious life.../ Et partout où je me tourne, il y a de la vie, une vie si éphémère, si précieuse... ::

Oh Catherine, such beauty in this post. And I didn't know that's what that plant was called - Coltsfoot. We have that growing everywhere here! I didn't see it much in Maine where we used to live.

Welcome "home".

Thanks sweet friends... They sure need good thoughts... Renee, Coltsfoot is great for the lungs! We love to make a tincture of it.
